Employment Hub services launched in Charnwood

A new programme which can help small and medium size businesses (SMEs) is now up and running for the Charnwood area. The Leicester Employment Hub service, which includes Loughborough College as a partner, is targeted at employers looking to permanently or temporarily increase its workforce capacity. It will also help people seeking employment or work experience identify where vacancies and opportunities exist. 

If you are an SME looking to source apprentices, trainees, interns, and people for placements or work experience you can access the services of the Leicester Employment Hub. Grants, support and advice are available to businesses in Charnwood. The Hub is funded through to 2020 and comprises a programme worth £3.9 miliion. SME employers can potentially access grants of £2,500 to help support creation of apprenticeships and work placements. Advice for businesses is available via the Hub around apprenticeships, traineeships, work experience, internships, volunteering and work placements.

This new impartial service offered by Leicester City Council helps local employers with all their recruitment needs and training opportunities. They will work with your business as a "critical friend" to support you to access skills and talent vital for any future growth.
