Four specialist markets to take place in Loughborough

Loughborough will host four specialist markets next month for residents and visitors to enjoy.

A returning vegan market will be followed by a continental market and the first ever Loughborough Artisan Market to be held in the town. The month will then be rounded off by the return of the popular KickStart Market.

The specialist markets to take place in March will be:

  • Sunday, 9 March – Vegan Market
  • Thursday, 13 March – Sunday, 16 March – Continental Market
  • Sunday, 16 March – Loughborough Artisan Market
  • Sunday, 30 March – Loughborough KickStart Market

Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, the Council’s lead member for economic development, regeneration and town centres, said: “We are so pleased to welcome back these specialist markets and host the first-ever artisan market in Loughborough.

“Our historic market is something in which we are very proud of and it is important to offer residents and visitors these specialist events, away from our usual weekly markets.

“These always offer a great atmosphere within the town centre, increasing footfall and supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs.”

A vegan market run by Vegan Market Co., in partnership with the borough council, will take place on Sunday, 9 March from 10.30am – 4pm. The market is a returning favourite and offers a variety of vegan food, bakes, cheeses, handmade cosmetics and ethical clothing and jewellery.

A continental market, run by RR events, will take place from Thursday, 13 March to Sunday, 16 March with street food and native craft items on offer.

The first-ever Loughborough Artisan Market will take place on Sunday, 16 March from 10am-4pm. Traders will be offering farmers produce, arts, crafts, and a variety of food. Details can be found on the Council’s website for traders who wish to have a stall on the Loughborough Artisan Market.

The Loughborough KickStart Market will take place on Sunday, 30 March from 10am-4pm. The KickStart Market encourages new traders and entrepreneurs to gain experience and run a market stall for the day.

Loughborough Market operates a retail market every Thursday and Saturday and a vintage market on Fridays. To find out more about Loughborough Market, visit the Council's dedicated webpage.
