Charnwood offers access to a large labour pool being in the centre of the East Midlands and our local educational and training providers are of a very high standard. From primary school age through to University, there are good choices for Charnwood residents and emplyers can make the most of a well-skilled workforce. Our schools, colleges and University maintain strong links with the business community, often providing bespoke packages at further and higher education level to meet the needs of local employers. 

If you are an SME looking to source apprentices, trainees, interns, and people for placements or work experience you can access the service of the Leicester Employment Hub. This service is available to businesses in Charnwood. The Hub is funded through to 2020 and is backed by a programme worth £3.9 miliion. SME employers can potentially access grants of £2,500 to help support creation of apprenticeships and work placements. Advice for businesses is available via the Hub around apprenticeships, traineeships, work experience, internships, volunteering and work placements.
